About Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga uses movement, sound current, breath and meditation to stimulate the nervous, glandular and immune systems, improving strength
and flexibility, while centering the mind and opening the spirit.
Each class includes mantra, a warm up, specific yoga posture sets (called Kriyas) that focus on aspects of our physical and energetic bodies, a deep
relaxation and meditation.
Benefits include weight control, relief from stress and insomnia, enhanced creativity, lymphatic cleansing, liver detoxification, balancing of the heart
and mind, and development of will power. All yoga seeks to raise your “kundalini energy” or your true creative potential.
Classes with Rachel are loving, supportive and light-hearted and are open to ALL levels.
About Rachel
I was born and raised on Norfolk Island, a 1000 miles east of Australia in the South Pacific. Growing up on an island as remote and beautiful as Norfolk,
I was raised with a deep appreciation for nature and its inherent harmony, grace, balance, peace, joy and beauty. Today, those qualities continue to act as my foundation in both life and teaching.
I discovered my love for yoga and its uplifting effects in 2004. Since that point in time I have continued to deepen my practice, allowing it to integrate into every aspect
of my life. This journey has led me throughout the world, eventually bringing me to study Kundalini Yoga with Gurmukh at Golden Bridge Yoga in Los Angeles, CA.
This is where I received my Kundalini Yoga certification through IYKTA, in compliment to a Yin Yoga teacher training I had previously completed with Semperviva's Bernie Clark. Today I practice and teach throughout Vancouver.
My Kundalini classes are always loving, supportive and light-hearted and are open to ALL levels. We ride a wave that allows one to experience a vast array… peace, centering, challenge, strength, energy, playfulness, joy and surrender.
I am very blessed to practice with the blossoming Vancouver community. Welcome and Wahe Guru!
